Some physiological and biochemical changes In oak trees after fire

چکیده
Background: Forest fires are considered integral parts of many forest ecosystems despite being a disaster influencing the ecosystem dynamics significantly. A fire that occurred within borders Düzce-Konuralp State Enterprise affected 16 ha oak forest. The present study aimed to investigate physiological and biochemical changes in two species (Quercus pubescens Q. cerris) at post-fire period. For this purpose, seasonal shoot leaf samples were collected from 15 trees (5 high low intensity control groups) for each species. subjected xylem, water potential, stomatal conductivity analysis field carbohydrate concentration proline analyses laboratory. Results: It was found surface area decreased, root-leaf connection broken depending on fire. As severity increased, potential increased; amounts decreased. had lower than cerris but higher amounts. Conclusion: more resistant drought stress during season aspect characteristics.

Seasonal changes in some physiological and biochemical responses of six groundcover plants
Landscape groundcover plants are a diverse group of trailing or spreading species that naturally form continuous soil coverage.Ground cover plants that were used in this study consisted of vegetative propagules of: Vinca minor L. ٬Variegatum’, Vinca minor L. ٬Green’, Oxalis brasiliensis G. Lodd, Trifolium repens L., Phyla nodiflora L. and Frankenia thymifolia Desf. The aim of this study was to ...
متن کاملPhysiological and phenological responses of oak seedlings to oak forest soil in the absence of trees.
Established trees influence the growth and physiology of seedlings by altering above- and belowground conditions; however, tree influences on seedling physiology via belowground interactions are not well understood. We used soil transfers to an open field to examine the belowground influences of a Quercus ellipsoidalis E.J. Hill dominated forest on Q. ellipsoidalis seedling mycorrhizal infectio...
متن کاملChanges in biochemical and physiological responses of common carp, Cyprinus carpio L. after long-term exposure to Pb (II)
In this study, the chronic toxic effects of Pb (II) on common carp, Cyprius carpio were investigated using several biomarkers at different levels of biological functions for assessing changes in ecosystem quality. In a bioassay, common carp juveniles were individually exposed to different dose of heavy metal, Pb II (0, 0.45, 0.89, 1.34 mg.l-1) for 28 days. Morphological indices such as hepat...

Hematological and biochemical changes were studied in beluga (Huso huso) weighing 450±50g in the presence of b,1-3, D-glucan as a single intraperitoneal injection (0.3mg/kg body weight) once, and thereafter a chronic exposure to organophosphate, diazinon at concentration of 1.5 mg/L as a continuous bath for 63 days at 22±1ºC. Results of erythrocyte profile in fish treated with glucan, but with...
